The Amazing Adventures of Answerman!

Happy New Year, everyone!

It's been a busy year so far, but I've still managed to carve out some time to do more writing and drawing. I started the new year off right, beginning a new project that's part novel, part comic book. It all started a few years ago when I looked at my job at the time, and wondered what kind of superhero I would be. After giving the question some serious consideration, I realized that my superhero name would be Answerman. After all, people would often come to me asking questions on how to do things, where things were located, if I could help them with a task, etc. It just seemed like a natural title to me.

Over the holiday break, I started thinking more and more about developing this into a story. I don't know if I'll draw the comic book sequences or have someone else draw them, but I'll at least draw the rough sketches. Right now I'm fleshing out the main characters, some minor characters and the story's plot. I'm having fun creating the office "superhero" characters and their alter-egos. It takes me back to the first time I read some of Marvel's Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, Captain American and Iron Man comic books as a kid. I have a rough idea of how I want the story to go, but I'm interested to see where the creative process takes me in this adventure!

I haven't had a lot of time to work on this project, but I plan on wrapping up at least the first draft before the year is over. Maybe I'll share a snippet or two of it in this blog, you'll just have to keep tuned to find out!

That's all for now - have a great weekend, everyone!
